About MAGI Mediation

Our vision is to provide be-spoke dispute resolution system design to internatinal companies 

by which cross-border disputes are managed and resolved quickly and cost-effectively without going through litigation.

  MAGI Mediation, launched in 2024, is designed in line with the MAGI’s purpose of advocacy, governance and best practice in the international mediation professions. Its core values are:

The MAGI welcomes 3rd party neutrals who have different backgrounds, training and experience to support the process as assessor, mediator, arbitrator, conciliator, advocate, expert witness and case manager. We work with professionals who are accredited in different jurisdictions and specialisms, rather than prescribing a fixed model of mediation. 

The MAGI mediation rules are flexible. It allows mediators to benchmark themselves against rules they proposed to adopt. Each mediator acknowledge the use of Standards and Competencies from their jurisdiction so it is relevant to all parties. The MAGI  focuses fitness to practice rather than being overtly academic or theoretical.

The Panel of the MAGI goes through vigorous onboarding process to ensure they have accreditation from a recognised and approved provider. They have registration with a national mediation regulator or service provider and a practising certificate from the regulator of their home profession. They have direct public access or mediator licence provision by home profession and adequate professional indemnity insurance. MAGI professionals have a published Complaints and Disciplinary process, GDPR or Data Protection compliance. 

MAGI mediators understand cultural differences. The Panel of the MAGI are from over 50 geographic locations and can speak more than 6 different major languages. MAGI Arbitrators are primarily in the context of the clients so they will be represented effectively. We appoint arbitrators who practice the law of the seat of arbitration and speak the designated language agreed in the business contract.
